PE and Sport Premium

Sport Premium Allocated for 2018/2019 is: £16,300


We intend to spend our funding as follows:

Continuing to offer at least 2 hours of high quality PE to every child weekly.

Improve the depth and quality of PE and sporting provision across the school

Focused PE teaching in specific disciplines; Basketball, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Football, Striking games, Swimming (Y3-Y6)

Staff observe and support the coach to gain skills and confidence to teach alone.

Performance in area competitions. Lesson observations, pupil feedback

To enter more varied competitions wherever possible

 

Enter competitions through BEP and locally organised using parent transport wherever possible

The success of this funding and the impact on the children's education and well-being was measured through;

· Direct feedback by staff on the quality of support offered by the Sports Specialists

 

· Continued low levels of behaviour and medical problems at play times and lunch times Evaluation of the teaching of Physical Education lessons taught by both Sports Specialist and Class Teachers

 

· School quality assurance in line with school policy

 

· Evaluation of the quality of provision of extra-curricular clubs in relation to physical activity and school sport;

 

· Feedback from the Sports Specialist to the Head Teacher;

 

· Continued increase in the number of children engaging in inter school sporting activities;
