Happy New Year!
An exciting new year is upon us. In school there will be many new exciting learning opportunities for the children.
I am always open to ideas and value parent opinions. Please do not hesitate to come and speak to me at any time.
Welcome!
Mr Green will be joining Miss Bailey and Class 2 for the Spring term as part of his Teacher Training. A big welcome to Mr Green from us all!
Clubs
Kate Ramsey and Kellie Jarram have kindly agreed to organise and run Cross Country Club again this term. A big thank you to them both for giving up their time for the children. Cross Country will be on Wednesdays after school from 3.15pm to 4pm. Please note that due to a massive response, this club is now full. Maybe Seagrave will be represented at the Olympics after all!
Mad Science will be starting next week, Tuesday 17th January running until Tuesday 7th February. Mad Science will finish at 4.30pm. The children love this club but be prepared for them raiding your kitchen cupboards to ‘re-create’ their investigations…
Assemblies
Assemblies will restart this Friday. All parents, younger siblings and grandparents are welcome to join us in celebrating the children’s achievements at 2.45pm in
Class 3.
Singing Assembly is coming back! From next Tuesday, 17th January, you are welcome to come along and join in. Mr Green has offered to teach the children Makaton signs for the songs. Again, this assembly will take place at 2.45pm in
Class 3.
Dance
Robyn, our dance teacher, will be coming into school on Mondays to teach the children street dance. The children absolutely love these sessions. Towards the end of term you will be invited to come along to see the dances that the children have learnt, date to follow.
Children will need indoor PE kit, including plimsolls for these sessions. Thank you.
Road Safety
On Monday 16th January we have a visitor in school teaching the children about road safety.
Milk
Mrs Bint will be sending out invoices for milk for the term. If you wish to cancel your child’s milk please speak to her in the office.
