WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - June 11th 2010
Welcome Back
Welcome back to the last half term of this academic year. I am sure that the half term break was shorter than a week!
A big hello to 2 new pupils – Oliver in Year 1 and Lucy in Year 3. Both have made a fantastic first impression. Well done.
Seagrave Uncovered
Next week we will have some guests in the school working with the children on a creative project involving videoing, history and Mandarin to name but a few areas. Each class will be looking at how Seagrave school has changed over time. It is a really exciting opportunity and we have been successful in obtaining a grant to make this happen. A big thank you to Mrs Downton for the hours of organising to enable this to take place. Mrs Downton has secured another grant to enable a project to be undertaken during the next academic year.
It should be a fun week.
Friday assembly
There will be no Friday assembly this week or next week due to other activities taking place in school. Children will still be given WOW certificates for these weeks during class assemblies.
PGL Trip
Just a reminder that the balance for PGL needs to be paid before the end of term. Class 3 will be doing a money raising event for this so you may wish to pay in instalments before then as it may cost you less than you think.
Swimming Gala
A quick reminder that there is a swimming gala for Class 3 being organised by Miss Spencer. It is being held at the pool at Rawlins school on Friday 18th June in the afternoon. Please make sure all slips are returned to Miss Spencer.
Football Tournament
How busy are we? Class 2 will be attending a football tournament at Anstey on Friday 18th June. The whole class will be going – some to form the team and the others to support. Letters will be sent out shortly.
Loughborough Echo
A photographer from the Loughborough Echo will be in school on Monday to take Class photos for their feature ‘Top of the Class’. So don’t forget the hair gel!
