WEEKLY NEWSLETTER - May 28th 2010

Themed Week
A big thank you to all the staff for making the themed week with Redlands and Cossington such a fun event. We are nearly at the end of the week and all the children have had a great time. It has been great to see some of the children starting the day with apprehension, as they are having to work outside their comfort zone, and then having new friends by the end of the day.

Clubs
Thank you to all the staff and parents that run clubs for the children. It is lovely to see so many people willing to give up their time to make the children’s experience at Seagrave so much richer.

Sports Day
We have provisionally booked Sports Day for Thursday 1st July starting at about 1.30pm. We have decided to organise this event in a slightly different way so that all the activities take place on the marked track in the middle.

More details to follow shortly.

Gentle Reminder
Please can you make sure that children come to school in school uniform and sensible shoes. We have had a few incidents in the playground with children tripping over inappropriate summer shoes whilst playing.

It has been brought to my attention that some children have been bringing mobile phones into school. Please note that mobile phones are not allowed.

Work Experience
Thank you to all the work experience students. The children are having a great time getting to know them and, more importantly, they are helping the children learn. I hope we haven’t put them off a career in education for life!

Cancer Research Race for Life
Don’t forget it is casual dress day on Friday 28th May in aid of cancer research. Please bring £1 donation on the day if you can.

Tesco Vouchers
Thank you for collecting Tesco vouchers. This has now finished and so if you have any more to bring in please put them in the box by Friday 28th May.

Half Term
We break up for half term this Friday 28th May and return on Monday 7th June.

There will be no more Construction Club on a Monday for Class 2 until the Autumn term.

There will be no Friday Assembly this week.
