FRIDAY NEWSLETTER - March 26th 2010

End of Term
As you know, we break up for Easter this Friday and return to school on Monday 12th April.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you that have supported the school this term. Whether it be coming in to support the children’s learning, helping to organise after school activities, helping with the Easter disco or offering supportive comments. It is very much appreciated and everyone in school benefits so thank you.

The Great Egg Race and Easter Hat Competition
Don’t forget, we will be holding the great Egg Race and Easter hat competition in the Village Hall tomorrow, Friday 26th March. We aim to start at 9.30am.

If any adults want to join in please come along with your own creation and take part. Remember this year we only have one class for pushed vehicles.

Casual Dress Day
On Friday we have decided to have a casual dress day. Everyone that comes in casual dress and brings £1 will gain entry to a raffle for a Rainbow’s Rabbit – the rabbit can be seen in Class 2 - with a second prize of a box of chocolates.

All proceeds will be donated to Rainbow’s Hospice.

Tote Winners – February 2010
It wasn’t a fix, honest! The winners of the February Tote were:

1st 72    Hayley Carter
2nd 46   Maria Elson
3rd 85    Colin Miller

English Inspection
As you may be aware, we had an HMI Inspection last Friday focusing on the provision, progress, enjoyment and leadership of English in the school. It went very well and more details will be made available after Easter when the report is sent to school.

There will be no WOW assembly this week due to the Great Egg Race and Easter Hat Competition on Friday morning.

Have a fantastic break.
