FRIDAY NEWSLETTER - March 5th 2010
FOSS
FOSS are holding an Easter disco on the last day of term – Friday 26th March at the village hall. The disco will start at 5.30pm and will finish at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the school office. There will be an Easter Hat competition with prizes for the best design.
Siblings under 14 are also welcome.
If anyone is free to help at the disco, FOSS would be very grateful.
Class 2 Residential
Details of the proposed residential for Class 2 have been sent out today. If you have anything that you wish to discuss about this please come and have a chat.
I have decided that we will have a parent contact from each Year group that we will phone by 6.00pm so that any other parents wanting an update on the trip can phone the parent contact for information. If anyone is willing to be the Year group contact please let me know.
Please ensure that responses are back in school by Thursday 11th March.
Class 1 Day Trip
The children had a great time at Donnington Manor House. A big thank you to all the staff that arranged and supported the trip on the day.
Keyboard Lessons
There will be places available after Easter if anyone wants to start to learn to play the keyboard.
Please note that the keyboard lessons during the last week of term will be on Tuesday 23rd March.
Running News
Well done to Alfie and Charlotte who took part in the National Cross Country Championships in Leeds last Saturday. They ran really well and a little bird tells me that Alfie actually beat his main rival. Charlotte also took part in the County and Midlands Cross Country Championships. I’ve taught them everything I know – and they still did well!
End Polio Badges
We still have some ‘end polio’ badges that we are selling for the Rotary Club. These are £1 and are available from the school office.
