Welcome Back
Did we really have a whole week off?
Welcome back to everyone and I hope that you had a great break. Only five weeks in this half term and so we have loads to pack in.
Class 2 Residential
We didn’t want Class 2 to miss out on a residential trip and so we are in the process of planning a one night stay at Quorn Hall. I felt that this was a good, local option. Some of the children have been there before and so it will not be too daunting. We will be staying for one night, Monday 10th May and will arrange a local trip for the Monday and activities in the Quorn Hall grounds on the Tuesday. This will keep costs to a minimum.
Residential trips are a great way to enhance children’s independence skills and also build up teamwork. It will also be a good trial run for the Year 3's two-nighter when they are Year 4s.
More details will follow shortly.
Class 1 Day Trip
If you are in Class 1, don’t forget to bring the slips in for your trip to Donnington Manor House on Monday to look at all the toys from the past.
United Benefice of Sileby, Cossington & Seagrave
St Mary’s Church, Sileby warmly invites all members of the community to join us for the opening of St Mary’s Centre on Mountsorrel Lane, Sileby on Saturday 6th March from 2.00-5.00pm. We are thrilled with our superb new facility and would love you to come and see it on our open afternoon. Local MP Andy Reed will open the centre at 4.00pm. but the centre will be open with tea and cake being served throughout the afternoon.
Assembly
There will be a assembly tomorrow led by Miss Bailey and Class 2. They are showing some amazing work that they have been doing on Powerpoint! I’m sure I didn’t learn how to use that until I was 25 – (that’s last year by the way!)
