FRIDAY NEWSLETTER - February 5th 2010

Haiti Appeal
Thank you all so much for supporting this appeal. We raised an amazing £100 !

Half Term
Don’t forget we break up for half term next Friday, 12th February. Also a reminder that the children do not return to school until the Tuesday 23rd February as we have a staff training day on the Monday.

Purple Pinkie Day
As you know the children will be doing some artwork to support this event and a letter about it is in your child’s book bag today. Next week the Rotary Club will be letting us have some badges to sell. Each badge will be £1 and each £1 will immunise 5 children. The Rotary Club aim to eradicate polio by 2012. I know this is another collection so please do not feel that you have to buy one but I felt the need to advertise the appeal.

January Tote Winners
The winners of the January Tote were:

1st place number 21 - Mrs Bint
2nd place number - 24 Mrs E Johnson
3rd place number 100 - Miss Beard

I am assured that this was a fair draw!!!

Class 2
On Tuesday afternoon Class 2 are having a sculpture session delivered by a local artist. She has contacted the school and said that it will be messy! Please bring in some old clothes so that the children can really enjoy the afternoon.

Also, Class 2 have their trip to Asda on Wednesday morning where they will be buying fruit to make healthy snacks and smoothies.

Friday Assembly
There will not be a Friday assembly next week.

Lining Up
Well done to Class 3 for winning the award for the best lining up after playtimes. This is a new award and the winners will be announced each week. The winning Class gets an extra 5 minute playtime.

Mrs Voss
Thank you to everyone that came to Mrs Voss’ retirement assembly. She has asked me to say a big thank you for her gifts and flowers.
