FRIDAY NEWSLETTER - January 15th 2010
RawTV
We have been really fortunate to enlist the help of some students from RawTV – Rawlins Media students – to work with our children to design and film our school prospectus on DVD. This will be given out to new and existing parents so that everyone can see all of the activities that go on in school. This DVD will also be sent to our partner schools in China. This is also a great opportunity to get the children excited about their future education after Seagrave.
The Leicester Mercury heard about this and have come along today to take some pictures to put in the paper. I’ll let you all know when it appears.
Clubs
Due to the bad weather we are delaying the start of after-school clubs for another week. A list of clubs will be out next week to start the week beginning 25th January.
Jury Service
It could only happen to Miss Spencer! After spending a week and a half bored at court she was selected for a case that will last for another 2 weeks. Mr Sidaway has agreed to teach the class for the whole of next week and most of the week after. Myself or Miss Beard will cover the other days. Miss Spencer has been in touch with Mr Sidaway and has ensured the continuity of the planning to minimise any disruption.
Christmas Cards
We are collecting old Christmas Cards to recycle through County Hall. If you have any that you want to get rid of then please bring them into school and place them in the brown bag in the downstairs office.
Refurbishment
The stairs and the library have now been painted and we are hoping to be back to normal by the end of next week. An artist is coming into school next week to paint a mural on the wall up the stairs and one in the library. A big thank you to Miss Bailey for all of her hard work in organising this. It will look great.
Mrs Voss
Please can you give any contributions for Mrs Voss’ leaving to the office by Friday 22nd January.
