Welcome back to the Spring term in EYFS!
We would like to welcome everyone back after the Christmas break and hope that you have all had a happy and restful time.
Last term was a very positive one with the children getting to know their new setting, new teachers and new friends. They have bonded as a group extremely well and made lots of progress in all areas. We have evidenced lots of the activities that took place last term through photos and in the next few days I will endeavour to share some of these on this site.
This term looks set to be a busy one with the children engaging in lots of new and exciting activities. Below we have put our class timetable and the themes we will be exploring throughout the next term for your information. We have also included some other useful documents.
The topics for this term will be -
Week 1 - New Year and Toys
Week 2 - Winter in Seagrave
Week 3 - Cold places in the world
Week 4 - the adventures of Penguin Small
Week 5 - Chinese New Year
Week 6 - We're going on a bear hunt!
HALF TERM HOLIDAY
Week 1 - Goldilocks and the 3 bears
Week 2, 3 and 4 - Fantastic creatures
Week 5 - Our lovely Mums
Week 6 and 7 - Easter
Our PE day is on Wednesday. This term the children will be doing gymnastics in the Village hall. Please ensure your child has their kit in school on these days. We also have Jo Jingles every Tuesday where the children learn about music and movement.
We will be starting "Show and tell" sessions on a Wednesday afternoon. When it is your child's turn they will bring home a bag and show and tell book. They can choose something to bring in to talk about and the book is for parents to write any notes that will aid your child's talk.
If you would like to talk to any of the teachers in EYFS, then please don't hesitate to approach us at the beginning or end of the day. If you need a longer session then we will endeavor to find a mutually convenient time.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Chafer and Mrs Jarram.
